PANAJI: Bhojpuri actor Tara Rani Singh who originally hails from Bihar was mauled by street dogs in the Latin Quarter area of Panaji – the capital city of Goa, during mid-January this year. The incident happened when Tara Rani Singh was in Goa for a couple of days with friends.
Tara Rani Singh who is also known by her birth name Rangita Singh in Bihar film and Tv circles, is a very popular YouTuber and her comedy videos have garnered millions of views.
While in Goa during her stay in Panaji, she was returning to her hotel via the Panjim Latin quarter area along with a few friends late at night, when the incident took place.
Tara Rani Singh who was walking behind her friends, while chatting on her phone, was accosted by four aggressive and wild dogs who lunged at her and tried to bite her. She sustained scratches on her hands and legs and screamed aloud for her friends who were ahead of her.
Her friends rushed to her help but were also attacked by the rabid dogs. Fortunately, some locals also intervened and helped the group to chase away the street dogs and the aggressive canines backed away.
According to her, she had to avail of first aid in the hotel and also tetanus injection to avoid infection. “I love Goa, but I am really scared of Goa’s street dogs,” is what she said when queried by this reporter.

Tara Rani Singh is a famous YouTuber, Instagrammer and Bollywood actress, originally hailing from Bihar. She became famous with the moniker of “Lavri Devi” in Uttar Pradesh and her home state Bihar. She is also a model and has also walked the ramp for several fashion shows in Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow and Chandigarh.
She was earlier known by the name of Rangita Singh, but changed her name to Tara Rani Singh on the advice of her personal astrologer and palmist.
