MUMBAI: In another good news for all fans of Bigg Boss who were dismayed when the Bigg Boss, Season 19 was not given an extension in December, the casting for Bigg Boss OTT version is slated to begin soon.
A brand new Bigg Boss OTT season is coming and is most likely to start around February, 2026. The casting for the show will begin mostly after Christmas, sources said.
According to reliable social media handles, the makers are toying with the idea of launching the new season in early February 2026. If all goes well the season will start in early February or may be delayed by say two weeks and may be pushed to the end of Feb., next year.
In 2024, the OTT version could be held as Salman Khan was not able to commit dates for the shooting. This time on, it seems the makers have already booked the dates well in advance. There may be a co-host, either Farah Khan or Karan Johar, it is learnt.
The makers are very keen on keeping the Bigg Boss fever going among fans and while the next season, that is Bigg Boss 20 will start only in the second half of 2026, they are keen on doing the OTT version, claim sources in the know.
Another update is that Salman Khan could be hosting the OTT version as well. Earlier, the first season of Bigg Boss OTT began in 2021 with Karan Johar as the host. The second season saw Salman Khan as the host while the third season had Anil Kapoor holding the reins of the famous reality OTT version.
Last year, the OTT version was put back as the Tv show began early. This year fans will get both the versions- OTT streaming as well as the TV version, which is also streamed on JioHostar.
