KOLKATA: According to reliable sources in Bollywood, prominent influencer Soni Gupta from Kolkata is in talks with Mumba-based director and producer Maneesh F Singh it is learnt.
According to sources close to the director, Soni Gupta and Maneesh F Singh have been discussing a possible role for the 27-year-old, Kolkata-based model and influencer for the upcoming film project “Who Killed Shraddha?” which is slated to go on floors soon.
Soni Gupta is 5.5 in height and a fitness freak. Her instagram is full of videos and photos of her work out sessions in the gym
Soni who is fond of cooking and reading books is passionate about her modeling career. She is also keen on doing reality shows and films.
According to a source close to director Maneesh F Singh, most probably Soni Gupta will be doing a role in the murder mystery film, which is based on the true story of the murder of Shraddha Walkar which shocked and stunned the nation in 2022.
The director had announced the film earlier in 2023, inspired by the Shraddha Walkar murder case, but it was delayed as the charge-sheet was not filed and the police investigation was at a nascent stage. The production house could not proceed with the film as the entire matter was “under investigation”.
Speaking in Mumbai about the delay, Maneesh F Singh said, “The trial had not started. The investigation was at an early stage. The police were not ready to share any official information as the charge-sheet had not yet been filed in the court. Besides, the families of the accused as well as the victim were in court regarding privacy rights. So we had to put the film on hold”
